RETURN TO THE HOMEPAGE                                                                                                                                                                                                                    M/S KUNGSHOLM 1965

"The Kungsholm Song" by Edward Specter

Of all the ships that sail the sea

The ship for me is the Kungsholm

More than just an ocean liner

Not a ship is built that's finer

We play, we sing, we dance and dine

With a glass of wine and a girl

So let's make our goal

Just one more "skål"

To the good Kungsholm

Words and Music by Edward Specter, 1929

This song has been sung on the White Viking ships of Swedish American Line (including their last Kungsholm) ever since it was written in 1929 by Edward Specter, a passenger on the old M.S. KUNGSHOLM, and dedicated to the Swedish American Line.
