THE OCEAN LINERS |

Welcome to our Santa Rosa website celebrating this remarkable and elegant ship. She was one of a pair of ships built in 1958 to replace the survivors of a prewar quartet of liners built for Grace Lines - Santa Rosa and Santa Paula. The two new ships were also designed by Gibbs & Cox and named after their predecessors. They were two stylish and modern liners built for the Central America service but they later transferred to the Caribbean service. The Santa Rosa still exists and is owned by Louis Cruise Lines although much rebuilt. She currently sails as the Emerald chartered to the Australian company "Creative Cruising". |
